
About Rob
As a young man Rob travelled the world, working mainly in hospitality jobs in places such as the Greek Islands, Turkey and London. Along with meeting people from all walks of life, and some great adventures, it was here that Rob developed a passion for customer service.
After returning home and progressing into a 15-year corporate career with organisations such as Westpac and Allianz Partners, this customer focus helped Rob succeed in multiple General Manager roles across industries such as Travel and Health Insurance, Home and Roadside Assistance along with managing large Procurement and Property portfolios.
In 2019 - 2020 Rob completed his EMBA with the Queensland University of Technology and the results were life changing. Here Rob found his true business calling as an entrepreneur with a strong social purpose. Almost immediately his corporate role became more intrapreneurial and when Rob saw the opportunity to transition the Allianz Partners home care business that he had developed, to his own entity, he made it happen and Residenz was born. Rob retains his strong connection with QUT, now operating Residenz from the QUT Foundry as an Entrepreneur in Residence.
Family life
Rob and Jane married in 2013 and have two sons, Eddie and Harry. Australian rules football is a passion for the whole household with Rob coaching both the boys at West Juniors in Brisbane. Cricket is held in a similar light (maybe not for Jane…) with a boy’s day at the Brisbane test a key date on the calendar each year for Rob, Eddie and Harry. When the boys are not coercing Dad into a few more overs or kicks,family time is spent camping or spending weekends away with friends wherever possible.

Rob Philipp had been a senior leader with Allianz Partners for more than 10 years and ran services across Travel Insurance, Health Insurance, Roadside Assistance, Home Assistance and Government Care programs along with Procurement and Property portfolios. In recent years his remit had become more "intrapreneurial", developing a new home care division whilst also establishing himself as an Entrepreneur in Residenz with the Queensland University of Technology, in pursuit of his own venture. When the opportunity presented to transition the Allianz Partners home care business to his own entity, Residenz was born. This is how Residenz combines all the strength in governance and compliance that you expect from a large corporate, with the innovation and agility of a start-up.

We offer three main services: domestic assistance, spring cleaning and specialty cleaning. Our domestic assistance service includes cleaning and household chores, whilst our spring cleaning and specialty clean service focuses on deeper cleaning, removal of unwanted or out of date items, and specialized tasks.
Having people on the ground is essential. Our Area Quality Managers provide induction and ongoing training for the team and are present for their first clean to ensure support and quality. They also conduct random on-site audits of services to ensure our team are always correctly attired, using the correct equipment (which we supply) and chemicals, and following all Residenz standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
We currently operate in QLD between Coolangatta and Harvey Bay and in NSW from Southern Sydney to Newcastle.
We track cleaner compliance through our online portal, which automatically notifies us 90 days ahead of renewal for essential checks such as COVID-19 vaccination, police checks, and insurance.
